The Stanford Precision Health for Ethnic and Racial Equity (SPHERE) Bio-Repository for American Indian Capacity, Education, Law, Economics, and Technology (BRAICELET)

In this project, Missouri Breaks worked with Stanford University on a variety of pilot projects including the following. 1) Peer-Led Demonstrations to Increase Understanding of Genetics Among American Indian Students and Community Members which led student mentorship in a train-the-trainer method to educate tribal community members on genetics 2) From Blood to Informed Health Choices that aimed to develop culturally appropriate information to promote informed decisions regarding biological sample handling 3) BRAICELET Focus Groups which aimed to understand the community's thoughts and opinions related to participation in the biobank and the informed consent process 4) Seeing Into Our Future: Optimization for the Sustainability of a Mid-Level Genomics Laboratory
