CRST Cooking for Health

This study strives to evaluate the effectiveness of a culturally-tailored healthy food budgeting, purchasing, and cooking program on diet quality and cooking skills among 176 American Indians with type 2 diabetes to see if participation: lowers consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages and processed foods; increases cooking skills and knowledge about healthy foods; and lowers weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels.

We were able to have a beautiful interactive website created to share the Cooking for Health recipes, curriculum, and dissemination materials with our partners at University of Washington.
